Advertising Techniques 2

Personification

Personification in an advert is where they give a product, object or animal human characteristics such as greed. This technique helps the advertisment be more interesting and relevent to the viewers. You can  turn the product into a person. Or give it human abilities, such as speech, thought or emotion.

An example of personification in an advert is the M&M advert. They give the M&M human features and a voice but the audience know m&m dont have eyes or noses but the advert gives it them which makes it more funny and memorable.
